OUR MISSION…
To provide educational resources in all core subjects as well as utilize technology so that our clients have access to testing modules/tools. SHI’s main objective is to eradicate the Mis-education of disadvantaged youths.
Since 1996, our founder, Lisa Hoover, has been an advocate for youth who lack the resources to make informed decisions. She now continues the mission with the creation of Sow Harvest Inc. In addition, she has been a member of a university's admissions committee. Consequently, she knows the factors that are considered. More importantly, she can direct the student to making the best "first" impression.
We believe that your environment has a great impact on your mental aptitude and attitude. Thus giving back to our physical and created communities instills a sense of purpose and direction that often young people are lacking. Most private and parochial schools stress community service because it assists the students in thinking beyond self. As we live and thrive in a global community, it is important for us to understand how we are more alike than different. As well as how much we need each other for the better of society as a whole.
At SHI, students must commit to completing a minimum of 20 hours of community service per quarter. This investment is gratuitous but pays returns that are unimaginable.
SOW Harvest Inc. does not guarantee admissions to any college/university.
However, SHI guarantees that we will diligently work on behalf of our client(s). We are honored that our students have been admitted to at least one of their top 3 choices. In addition, many of our students have applied and have been admitted to schools that they never thought were a possibility for them. Our students’ acceptance rate is 100%, and we believe that is a testament to the perseverance and determination of our students.
